How can teachers remain responsive and self-regulated with young children? How does Mindfulness benefit our mind and body? Mindfulness increases positive emotions while reducing negative emotions and stress. Current research indicates that Early Childhood Educator's ability to develop consistent, attuned and responsive relationships with children is an essential factor in high quality early learning programs. Participants will: Identify the importance of Mindfulness for Self-Care. Reflect and practice strategies for “in the moment” stressors or challenging moments that help us remain calm and responsive to children. Practice stress reducing and management strategies.

Hi, I am Michelle Galindo, your trainer, Mother of 2 children, a 5 year old and 2 year old. I have more than 20 years of Professional Development Training and Coaching experience in Early Childhood Education programs to enhance quality. I have coached 500+ teachers, Family Child Care Providers on their professional development goals. I have presented 200+ Trainings for Early Education Programs in San Diego County and other Counties in California, including online.
My specializations are Brain Development, Developmentally Appropriate Practice, Behavior Guidance, Social Emotional Health and Cognitive/Language Development. Certified Brain Health Educator, SDSU, CLASS Observer/Trainer Infant, Toddler, PreK, K-3, ECERS, Teaching Pyramid Social Emotional Competence.
Education:Masters in Educational Counseling and Bachelors, Child Development, San Diego State University. College Professor since 2006 at Southwestern College in San Diego, teaching Child Development courses online and on ground with the Families Studies department.
